Appointments to the Pastoral and Finance Councils are made by the Pastor
Pastoral Council
Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 7:00pm
Mission Statement: We are St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, a Eucharistic family sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with kindness and compassion.
The Pastoral Council is an advisory board for the Pastor for the pastoral needs of the Parish. The following are some key elements of a pastoral council as presented in the booklet, “Policy and Guidance for Pastoral Councils: Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon”, 2016.
- Collaboration with the Pastor in Pastoral Planning: The Pastoral Council serves as the primary pastoral planning body for the parish. It helps the pastor carry out the 3 main areas of responsibility in his ministry:
- His Sanctifying Mission: The council helps the pastor to provide the means for the parishioners to grow in holiness: through the sacraments, prayer and special devotions.
- His Teaching Mission: The council makes sure that all parishioners have age appropriate opportunities for catechesis and faith formation.
- His Pastoral Mission: The council provides input on the establishment and development of pastoral priorities and the allocation of resources.

Finance Council
Meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 7:00pm
The Finance Council is an advisory board for the Pastor for the fiscal aspects of the Parish.
